Meet Kathryn Sommer
Senior Director of Direct Sales,
Southern Region
Kathryn has been with HealthTrackRx for two and a half years. She started as a Territory Sales Director and was promoted within her first year to the West Region Director to fill an immediate need. After a new Director was hired for the West, she transitioned to supporting the South in January 2022.
Kathryn’s primary job is to coach and remove barriers for sales team members, helping them achieve their goals and the company vision of Getting People Healthier Faster. Additional responsibilities include growing the sales team, training, developing sales reps, and even doing some direct sales herself. She believes the sales team culture at HealthTrackRx is one of the most special she’s seen due to the level of talent, collaboration, and “one-team” feel of it all.

According to Kathryn, “Everyone in sales goes beyond a job description, and we just do what we need to do to get the job done. Everyone here supports one another, leverages each other’s strengths and expertise, and is here to reach new levels professionally. We work hard, and we play hard,” says Kathryn, “It is very special and unique—a true family.”
The people are what initially drew Kathryn here. She has known and respected many of the leaders for some time and knew that if they were here, she needed to jump on board. Kathryn is passionate about HealthTrackRx’s mission and how we are changing the game in healthcare. She attributes our impact on healthcare to our team’s focus on continuous improvement, service excellence, and adaptability.

Kathryn feels like she has grown both personally and professionally while working here, learning from leaders, peers, and the sales team she trusts and respects. She says opportunities at HealthTrackRx have helped her become a true resource to our team. “Our leadership encourages new ideas and thinking outside the box”, she says, “all decisions are collaborative, ensuring reps feel seen, heard, and valued.” “Because of this, I believe we can accomplish anything, and my team really trusts me in leading them,” says Kathryn.
Kathryn is proud to have won President’s Club for the fourth time in her career, and the first time as a leader this year. But mostly, she is proud to be part of an organization that is changing outcomes for patients and providers—one that is proactive and continually puts its resources towards that aim. She is motivated to come to work each day, knowing she has an amazing product to sell, and the resources, support, and opportunity to excel at her job.
Kathryn’s passions outside of work include her family – her husband, her four-month-old baby boy, and her 10-year-old daughter. She appreciates the simple things in life that are often taken for granted, like taking a walk as a family, trying a new restaurant, or sitting on the back porch in the fall with a fire watching Alabama football.
