Meet Dr. Maren Fragala: Director of Clinical Operations at HealthTrackRx

In her role as Director of Clinical Operations at HealthTrackRx, Dr. Maren Fragala drives the medical and scientific functions of the organization under the Chief Medical and Scientific Officers. Dr. Maren Fragala brings a distinguished record of driving research agendas, leading collaborative cross-functional projects and shaping the landscape of population health in order to deliver clinical solutions that save and improve lives.

Since joining HealthTrackRx in 2024, Dr. Maren Fragala drove the growth of the evidence strategy to demonstrate the clinical utility of next-day, syndromic molecular testing for infectious diseases through multiple peer-reviewed publications.  These studies demonstrate that next-day, syndromic molecular testing for infectious diseases influence provider prescribing behavior, reduce follow-up care, and save money – essential outcomes for successful population health management strategies.

Trained as a translational scientist with a PhD in Kinesiology from the #1 ranked program at the University of Connecticut, Dr. Maren Fragala spent the beginning of her career in academia where she built a Human Performance Laboratory and Doctoral Training Program at the University of Central Florida.  With a unique opportunity to bring science to world-class athletes, Dr. Fragala joined Quest Diagnostics in partnership with the NY Giants to develop and commercialize sports performance products.

Subsequently, with a desire to solve the problems that matter most, Dr. Maren Fragala advanced into population health management.  In this capacity, she advanced measurable health outcomes for Quest Diagnostics’ nearly 50k employees and earned the prestigious C. Everett Koop Award for exemplary work in health and disease prevention.

Dr. Maren Fragala was recognized as one of the women to chart the course of the University of Central Florida’s history, Ragan’s Top Women in Wellness, A Rising Star in Healthcare, and earned the Journal of Strength and Conditioning’s coveted award for Editorial Excellence.

Having also held academic positions at Harvard School of Public Health and the University of Connecticut Health Center, publishing more than 140 scientific manuscripts, delivering more than 150 research presentations, serving on the Biomarkers Consortium of the Foundations of the NIH, and receiving multiple academic and professional awards and grants, she is considered a leading researcher and practitioner in population health strategies.

Her personal mission is to discover, practice and inspire healthy living. She holds a strength and conditioning specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  Dr. Fragala is based in central Florida, where her hobbies include practicing yoga, crafting, and being a devoted dance-, golf-, and girl scout-Mom.
